Engaging people with disabilities

So they might receive the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Engaging people with disabilities

Empowered Beyond Limits will engage Southern Africa’s disabled population, traveling from pastor to pastor, community to community, and country to country, so they might receive the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

This growing group faces many challenges, such as a reliable source of income, accessibility, medical services, and isolation. In some cultures, communities ostracize disabled persons because they believe the person or their family has been cursed, or are out of favor with God in some way. The Bible tells us that when Jesus and his disciples met a man blind from birth, the disciples asked Jesus if the man’s blindness was due to sin. Jesus admonished his disciples for this opinion, saying in John 9:3, “’Neither this man nor his parents sinned,’ said Jesus, ‘but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.’”

The Gospel will bring change to the life of every person. Empowered Beyond Limits sees how individuals with a disability can find their place in God’s plan, where they can make a difference, and have a part to play in the body of Christ!

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” – Mark 16:15
